David Grey raised to 14,000 from under the gun. Action folded around to Chris Ferguson in the cutoff seat and he reraised to 44,000. Grey moved all in for 62,900 and Ferguson made a quick call.
Both men stood pat and then showed:
Ferguson:
Grey:
David Grey wins the hand by the slimmest of margins and is now up to about 140,000.
Just moments after losing a pot to Layne Flack, Tom Dwan took back those chips and then some. Here's how it went down:
Action folded around to Chris Ferguson on the button and he raised to 12,000. Dwan called from the small blind as did Flack from the big blind. All three players drew one card.
Dwan led out for 25,000 and got a curious call from Flack. Ferguson thought the better of it and threw his hand away. Flack showed a but was slightly edged by Dwan's . Flack tossed his cards in and Dwan stacked the almost 100,000 chip pot.
Yan Chen raised to 12,000 and with Matusow next to act, he bumped it to 30,000. Chen called and drew one. Matusow stayed pat.
Chen bet 35,000 and got a quick call from Mike. "Ten-eight," uttered a confident Chen. "No good," retorted Matusow as he rolled over . Matusow won the pot and continues to control his table.
After going on an an impressive run and taking a pretty substantial chip lead, Tom Dwan has started to give a little back. Getting involved in a lot of pots, Dwan has been playing his big stack aggressively with moderate success.
Dwan just tangled with Layne Flack in a pot that had both men drawing a single card. After the draw, Dwan bet 18,000 and after a quick call by Flack he said, "you win." Flack showed his low and took down the pot.
Stephen Wolff has been eliminated by Erick Lindgren. He moved all in for his last 14,600 and was called by Erick Lindgren. Both players stood pat. Wolff never showed his hand; Lindgren's jack-six was enough to win the pot and send Wolff to the rail. Lindgren's stack increased to 380,000.
Now that we are down to 21 players, with 14 getting paid, a redraw for seats is in progress.
Action folded to Erick Lindgren in the cutoff seat and he raised to 12,000. both Nikolay Evdakov and Jeffrey Lisandro made the call from the small and big blinds respectively.
Lisandro and Evdakov drew one while Lindgren stayed pat. Post-draw action checked over to Lindgren and he bet 22,000. Evdakov called and Lisandro passed. Lindgren showed an low which was good enough to win the pot.
Action folded around to Tom Dwan on the button. Dwan pushed out enough chips to put either of the blinds all in. Michael Binger folded from the small blind but Dario Alioto called the rest of his chips from the big blind.
Dwan stayed pat and Alioto took but one card. Dwan showed and Alioto rolled over a for the win. He doubled to roughly 160,000 leaving Dwan, who still holds the chip lead, with approximately 450,000.
Shawn Sheikhan raises to 12,000 from under the gun. Action folds around to Brandon Adams on the button and he moves all in for 22,400 total. The small blinds passes and Chris Ferguson moves all in for 46,000 from the big blind. Sheikhan folds and it's Ferguson and Adams heads up.
Adams draws one card and Ferguson keeps his hand as-is. Adams shows a low but falls short against the of Ferguson. Brandon Adams is eliminated.
It was a tough couple of hands for Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi. First, he doubled up Michael Binger when Binger called Mizrachi's all in for 39,300. Mizrachi drew one; Binger stood pat with a 10-9. Mizrachi was drawing very live with 7-6-4-2 in his hand, but bricked up when he paired fours.
Shortly thereafter, he moved all in for his last 13,000 and was called by Dario Alioto. Each player drew one card. Mizrachi again had an excellent draw with 8-7-5-2, against Alioto's J-10-6-3, but again he paired up. Alioto caught a four to make a jack-ten and send Mizrachi to the rail.
