Not FBT Yet

Greg "FBT" Mueller and his opponent got all their chips in the middle with Mueller holding A-7 while his opponent held A-10. On a flop of {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}, Mueller looked good and was even better when the turn came {7-Hearts}. The river was a blank, giving Mueller the hand and putting him at 27,000 afterwards.

Gavin Griffin Wins a Big Pot

After Gavin Griffin raised to 1,050 another player reraised to 3,000 and Griffin moved all in for 5,500. His opponent called with {Q-Spades} {J-Spades} to Griffin's {A-Hearts} {9-Hearts}, and the {J-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts} flop gave his opponent top pair and Griffin the nut flush draw, a draw Griffin hit when the {2-Hearts} turned. He's now up to 18,000.

Andy Bloch Eliminated

Preflop, Andy Bloch made it 600 to go when a player in the small blind made it 2,500. Andy called and the flop came {4-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {J-Hearts} and Bloch's opponent led out for 3,300. Bloch came over the top for his remaining 8,500 and his opponent called. Andy showed pocket tens only to see his opponent flip over pocket queens. The turn and river were no help to Bloch, who was eliminated.

Bonomo Appears Unstoppable

Justin Bonomo, who had been short-stacked earlier today, managed to triple up when he ran 6-5 into pocket sevens and A-K. The flop came {K-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {3-Clubs} and the {5-Spades} on the turn netted Bonomo trips.

Soon after, Bonomo was facing a 500 raise preflop from an early-position player and raised to 1,600. Bonomo's opponent called and the flop came {7-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {7-Spades} and Bonomo moved all in. His opponent called and showed K-Q while Bonomo held pocket tens. The ten on the turn gave Bonomo a set and he doubled up to 14,000.

Chris Ferguson Doubles Up

We're going to skip the "divine intervention" jokes and simply report that Chris "Jesus" Ferguson was all in with {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} against Steve Billirakis' {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} when the flop came {9-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {3-Clubs}. The turn was the {4-Spades}, leaving Ferguson dead to an Ace--and then the {A-Spades} spiked on the river. With that double-up Ferguson is now at 12,000.

Chip and Chair for Raymer

Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer is down to just 475 in chips after a flop of {10-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {3-Spades} gave him top pair top kicker with A-Q. Raymer had raised preflop to 530 and both Gavin Smith and a player on the button had called. All the money went in on the flop, with Raymer's opponent holding pocket tens for a set. Raymer is left with just 475 in chips, but, we all know the saying. Will it hold true for this previous Main Event champion?
