Bill Edler just couldn't catch a break today. He took two tough hits right before dinner and a few minutes ago he suffered a fatal blow. After a player in early position raised to 1,625, Edler and two other players called. The flop came {4-Spades}

{6-Hearts}

and it was checked around to the player on the cutoff, who bet 5,000. Edler then check-raised for his last 23,000 and his opponent thought a bit before making the call.

Edler's {6-Diamonds}

{6-Clubs}

had outflopped his opponent's {10-Diamonds}

{10-Diamonds}

{10-Hearts}

and it looked like he was about to more than double his stack. That's when the {10-Clubs}

fell on the river, dealing Edler another brutal beat that brought his day to an end.
