Hand #12 - Steicke

The action passes round to Dirksen who raises to 60,000. Steicke places a small column of chips on his cards and makes the call from the small blind. Jeffreys passes the big.

{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

Check, check.

Turn = {2-Clubs}

Steicke seems to compose himself before making a bet of 96,000.

Dirksen glances over at his foe before passing. Steicke takes the pot.

Hand #10 - Dirksen

It folds around to Brockington on the button, who raises to 70,000. Small blind Bjorin folds, but big blind Dirksen calls.

Flop: {2-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {8-Spades}

Dirksen checks to Brockington, who bets 125,000. Dirksen now immediately announces all in for 965,000 total, and after a brief dwell, Brockington lays it down.

Hand #8 - Dirksen

Dirksen raises to 60,000. O'Brien calls from the small blind, albeit after a dwell. Big blind passes.

{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

O'Brien, meticulous as ever, pauses for a good minute. Dirksen looks him up and down. O'Brien eventually checks.

Dirksen bets 75,000 without hesitation.

O'Brien dips back into the think tank, riffling his chips in the process. He calls.

Turn = {J-Hearts}

O'Brien quickly checks. Dirsken's time to pause now, before betting 140,000.

O'Brien sighs, rests his chin in his hand whilst continuing to riffle his chips in his right hand. A tough decision, it would seem, but an important one as the pot is now 454,000.

O'Brien asks for an approximate count, I believe. He continues to mull over his next move. He may be waiting for a read.

Eventually he makes the pass and Dirksen takes the pot.

Hand #7 - Steicke

Now Dirksen makes it 62,000 to go. Steicke dwells up for some time, while Dirksen looks extremely nervous. Steicke raises to 186,000. Back round to Dirksen, who folds, showing the {A-Diamonds} as he does so. Steicke shows pocket kings, and collects the pot.

Hand #5 - Stephan Tayar Eliminated in Ninth Place ($45,252)

The action folds round to Steicke, who makes it 60,000 to play, only for Tayar to push all in the next seat along.

Jeffreys seems troubled and asks for a count. Steicke remains stoic with his arms folded, as does Tayar. Jeffreys eventually folds.

Steicke calls.

Steicke = {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

Tayar = {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Flop = {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

Turn = {9-Clubs}

Tayar requires a bullet to stay alive.

River = {K-Clubs}

Close but no cigar.

Hand #4 - Dirksen

Dirksen makes it 60,000 from the cutoff. Small blind Tayar thinks about it, but passes; big blind Jeffreys also folds, and Dirksen takes the blinds.
