Bohlman Bowls Them Over in a Four-Way Monster

Scott Bohlman came out victorious from a four-way monster pot just before the break to catapult him back into the chip lead.

A gentleman -- let us call him Guy A -- made a standard raise utg, and another gentleman -- for the sake of argument Guy B -- raised all in for 4,575 in early position. Guy C called in mid position, as did Bohlman on the cutoff. Guy A then went all in for a total of 6,400, and both Guy C and Bohlman called.

The two players who were not all in checked down the {5-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} board, and they flipped the following cards:

Guy A: {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds}
Guy B: {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}
Guy C: mucked
Bohlman: {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

Guys A and B are eliminated, and Bohlman has a massive 49,500.

More Action for Greenstein

The yo-yoing continues for Barry Greenstein whose stack has taken a slight dip. Greenstein raised it up preflop before betting 1,200 on an {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{A-Hearts} flop, checking the {5-Diamonds} turn and leading out for 2,000 on the {4-Spades} river. His opponent pushed for 5,000 and Greenstein folded.

Not Out

The gentleman who was at the losing end of that set-over-set encounter with Men Nguyen was not, as it turns out, knocked out. Indeed Lang Le has made an impressive comeback, building his stack back up to 26,000 currently.

Tran Gets Lucky

JC Tran has just survived an all in, gunning down the bullets in the process.

On a {3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop, Tran pushed all in with {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, only to run into the {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} of Brit Anthony Nicholls.

A {10-Clubs} turn created multiple possibilities, one of them arriving in the form of a {5-Clubs}.

Eliminations

Popular UK circuit player Sunny Chattha, who cashed in 67th in this event last year, has been eliminated. He raised all in for his last 2,100 from the button holding {10-Clubs} {9-Spades} and was called by the small blind holding {8-Clubs} {8-Hearts}, which held up.

Also OUT after spending a while not enjoying the view from right down to the felt, Ms Erica Schoenberg.

Greenstein on the Up

Barry Greenstein has been as busy as a bee working overtime, his stack witnessing more ups and downs than a kangaroo during mating season.

Recent times, however, have seen his chips accumulate to the 25,000 mark as a result of two all in preflop encounters.

First, Greenstein reached 20,000 with A-K versus J-J on a crowd-gasping 5-9-2-3-4 board. Several hands later he was up to 25,000, his {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} toppling his opponent's {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} on a {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{10-Spades} board.

Washington Rinses the Competition

Climber of the day so far is Kent Washington, up to around 30,000, and most recently the nemesis of Peter Feldman. Feldman raised to 550, called by Washington, and then bet out 1,050 on the {5-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {3-Clubs} flop. Washington called. Feldman shoved for his last 4,000 or so on the {6-Diamonds} turn, and after dwelling up for about two minutes, Washington called.

Washington: {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}
Feldman: {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs}

River: {2-Diamonds}

And Feldman hits the rail.

New Chip Leader

A quick scour of the room and it emerges that the likely chip leader, with 640 players remaining, is Dana Karlson with 35,900.

With both Karlson and his opponent already boasting a healthy chip stack, the two players tangled on a K-T-6 flop. Karlson bet out 2,400 on the flop and 4,000 on the ten turn before moving all in for 9,250 on the queen river.

His opponent called on each street, but mucked upon seeing Karlson's triumphant Q-T.

Nguyen Nguyens

Indeed it seems that those chips were just on loan -- Men Nguyen has doubled through a player (it's unsure whether it was the same one who outdrew him earlier, though) in the following manner.

Holding {J-Spades} {J-Hearts}, Nguyen sneakily checked his set on the {6-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {J-Spades} flop and his opponent checked behind. Nguyen checked the {10-Diamonds} turn too, and then raised his opponent's bet -- the opponent went all in, and Nguyen called.

The unlucky opponent was holding {10-Spades} {10-Hearts} and had made his set on the turn. No miraculous fourth ten for him on the river, and he busted out while Nguyen moved up to 15,400.
