Scotty Nguyens 10,000 Pot

Lookin' good
Lookin' good
Scotty Nguyen has eliminated an unfortunate opponent in a 10,000 pot. Nguyen checked his big blind and then called the small blind's 4,000 all in on the {10-Spades} {5-Spades} {4-Hearts} flop. The small blind turned over {J-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} but Nguyen had been sitting on {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs} all the while. The {A-Spades} turn left the small blind drawing dead, and Nguyen is up to 20,000.

Cloutier Going Strong

Cloutier has moved tables to the other side of the room. Just before he left, he raised it up preflop before continue betting a queen high flop. His opponents folded allowing Cloutier to add a few extra shrapnel to his stack. Cloutier now on 22,000 and well above the 12,219 average.

Going Bananas

It's all gone bananas here. Noticing that her opponent has a small banana ornament as a card protector, Winamax's Almira Skripchenko pulls out a real banana from her bag and places it on her own cards.

I don't know why, but along with Johnny Chan's moldy orange, the World Series of Poker seems to act as a magnet for a host of fruit based card protectors.

Absolute Rock

As well as our man Scott Ian from Anthrax, the music world is represented today by one Sully Erna, I understand the singer from Godsmack -- currently on 6,500. all we need now is a bassist and a drummer, and we'll have a whole band.
