Alan Vinson Eliminated in 22nd Place ($7,358)

Alan Vinson Eliminated
Alan Vinson Eliminated
Omaha -

We join this hand on the flop as well. Alan Vinson and Dustin Sitar are involved in a heads-up battle of the blinds. The board reads {7-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}. Vinson bets the pot, and Sitar re-pots it. Vinson makes the call, putting himself all in. The hands are shown:

Vinson: {A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {6-Hearts}
Sitar: {8-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}

Sitar has his straight made already, but Vinson still has plenty of outs. He fails to connect though, as the turn and river run off {3-Clubs} and {A-Hearts} respectively.

Alan Vinson is out of here in 22nd place, and will pocket $7,358 for his efforts over the past two days.

Pascal Perrault Eliminated in 23rd Place ($7,358)

Omaha -

We pick up the action on the flop, with the board showing {4-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {2-Spades}. Pascal Perrault bets the pot, 19,000. Martel De La Chesnaye reraises the pot right back, putting Perrault all in.

He calls, and turns over {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {7-Diamonds}. Del La Chesnaye tables {7-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}, in the lead with two pair, but needing to dodge a lot of outs.

The turn and river blank off for Perrault. The {10-Hearts} and {6-Spades} that complete the board do nothing to save him, and he is headed out in 22nd place.

Pairs in Their Pockets

Hold'em -

Allen Cunningham once again opens from middle position, putting it up to 8,000. Gabe Costner calls further down the line, and it comes around to David Bergerson in the cutoff seat. He makes a stand, reraising all in for his final 26,300 in chips. Cunningham folds, but Costner stays in and looks him up. The two men both turn over pocket pairs:

Costner: {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds}
Bergerson: {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts}

The board fails to give Costner the help he wants, as it runs {2-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {3-Spades}. Bergerson's well-timed jacks win him a nice pot, keeping him alive and more than doubling him up to 64,000.

The Man With the Long Name

Hold'em -

Kory Mitchell gets it going with a raise from the cutoff seat. In the small blind, Martel De La Chesnaye reraises all in, and Mitchell makes the call, turning up {K-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}. De La Chesnaye is in danger but ahead with his {9-Hearts} {9-Spades}.

He watches with eagerness as the dealer deals out the board: {3-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {7-Spades} {J-Hearts}. Safe all the way, and he survives and doubles up to 49,000.

Another Elimination

Hold'em -

From late position, Allen Cunningham bumps it up to 8,000. Action folds to the small blind, and Jean-Philippe Leandri reraises all in for a total of 22,000. Cunningham makes the call, showing down {K-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}. Leandri is at risk and racing with his {6-Clubs} {6-Spades}.

The board hits Cunningham when it comes down {K-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {2-Spades} {9-Clubs} {Q-Spades}. He does the deed, eliminating Leandri in 24th place and chipping himself up to around 160,000.

Racing With a Professor

Hold'em -

Jonathan Depa starts the action with a raise to 8,000 from under the gun. Action folds around to Howard Lederer in the big blind, and he puts in a reraise to 25,500 with just 2,000 left behind it. Depa thinks for a minute and then slides in enough chips to put Lederer at risk. The hands are turned over, and both men shrug, seeming to know what the situation is well ahead of time.

Depa shows Howard his {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}, and Lederer holds up his {8-Hearts} {8-Spades}.

The board runs out safe for Lederer, as it comes down {5-Spades} {3-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}. With that win, Lederer doubles up to stay alive, and now sits a little more comfortably at 58,000.
