Lindgren had Tran all in for his tournament life on a
board drawing to an open-ended straight, which he hit on the turn, leaving Lindgren with just 16,000 in chips. The hand that did E-Dog in saw him shove preflop holding
and get action from Tran, who brought
to the showdown.A
flop gave Tran way the best hand, though the
that came on the turn offered Lindgren a few outs. Today would not be his day, however, as the
popped off on the river, cementing the match for Tran.Despite the loss, Lindgren's money finish here today puts him further ahead in the WSOP Player of the Year points race.

Vanessa has collaborated with friends and fellow pros Jonas Entin, Emil Patel, Jason Rosenkrantz, Brian Roberts and John Snipes (amongst others) to form the online poker coaching site DeucesCracked.com.
Why is this relevant, you ask? All six of the aforementioned pros affiliated with the site entered the $10,000 Heads Up Championships and five of them skated through to the round of 32! The only one who didn't make the cut was John Snipes and he was eliminated by Selbst herself in the opening round of the tournament.
More impressive still is the fact that the round of 32 is just a couple of pages away from being in the books and three members of the DeucesCracked posse (Selbst, Entin and Patel) have already clinched their spots in the sweet sixteen! Suffice it to say 50% ain't bad.
Selbst explained that the site mostly caters to cash game players, though she did admit that her crew plays 'a ton of heads up.' Needless to say, it shows.
Kenny Tran v. Erick Lindgren
and
Michael Mizrachi v. Matt Giannetti
Lindgren and Tran are currently all knotted up, while Mizrachi holds a slight advantage over Giannetti. We'll keep you posted!
Meanwhile, on table six, Lyle Berman just finished off David Podgurski to earn his spot in Round 5, scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. later this evening.
Mizrachi opened the pot with a 24,000 preflop raise and Moussa countered by moving all in over the top of Mizrachi's bet. Mizrachi made the call, tabling
, and found himself in great shape against Moussa's
. A
board allowed the better hand to hold, and Mizrachi slid into the next round.

Short-stacked, Black got the remainder of his chips into the middle before the flop holding

. The end result: McNeil hits an overkill flush on the river to send Black packing (he had spiked an ace on the flop which would've been enough).
