Play Concludes For the Evening

With the elimination of Frank Kassela, play has stopped for the evening. We're now down to the final eight players that will comprise tomorrow's final table. This day started with 104 players, all with their eye on a big payday and a WSOP championship. For most, that dream is no more.

The eight players left standing will return tomorrow at 3:00pm PDT to play for a place in history, a gold bracelet, and $157,619.

Chris Viox finishes the day as our chip leader with approximately 350,000. Barry Greenstein is not far behind however with 220,000. However, given the nature of this game, and the stacks in play, the title is still very much up for grabs.

We hope you'll join us tomorrow at 3:00pm PDT as we conclude the coverage of Event #26 - $1,500 Razz. As always, official chip counts will be posted as soon as they are available.

Frank Kassela Eliminated in 9th Place

Chris Viox has just eliminated the final player of the day. Frank Kassela was eliminated in ninth place when his {J-?} {9-?} {7-?} {6-?} {3-?} came up short against Viox's {9-?} {8-?} {7-?} {6-?} {5-?}.

Kassela spent the latter part of the day near the top of the chip counts, however a few unfortunate hands caused him to plummet down, and eventually out, eliminated in ninth place. Viox is now a dominant chip leader with about 350,000.

2007 WSOP Player of the Year Tom Schneider was just eliminated in 12th place.

Schneider's hand was all but irrelevant as he was up against Archie "The Greek" Karas who held the nuts, {5-?} {4-?} {3-?} {2-?} {A-?}. Schneider takes home $10,203 for his efforts and Karas works his way back up to just over 170,000 in chips.

Roland Isra Eliminated

Mark Tenner has just sent another player home. Roland Isra's final table dreams came up just short. Isra tabled a {9-?} {7-?} {6-?} {5-?} {4-?} but that couldn't beat Tenner's {9-?} {7-?} {5-?} {4-?} {3-?}. Isra was eliminated and Tenner is up to approximately 160,000 in chips.
