Raising Raymond

Raymond Davis has been raising a lot of pots on his table. He enters this pot with a raise and finds a caller in the small blind.

They check it all the way to the river, when the board is {9-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {a-Clubs} {K-Spades}.

Now Davis decides to bet 200 and his opponent calls. Davis' {A-?} {J-?} beats the {10-Spades} {10-Clubs} of his opponent.

Davis up to 5,000 now.

Busted Just Before the Break

Beth Shak
Beth Shak
There was a raise to 200 and a call from a player in the small blind and Beth Shak in the big blind.

They checked it all the way to the river, at which point the board was {4-Hearts} {8-Spades} {7-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}.

The small-blind player led out for 200 before Beth Shak moved all in for 700. The small-blind player called with {A-Spades} {J-Clubs}.

Beth's {A-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} could not beat that and she heads off, not to return after the break.

Fossilman Extinct

Greg Raymer was sent to the rail on the last hand before the break. Michael Sweet raised to 350 from the button and Raymer shoved in his last 2,350 from the blind. Raymer flipped up {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} and Sweet showed {A-Spades} {10-Hearts}.

The door card brought the {A-Diamonds}, and no miracle queen meant Raymer will have a nice afternoon off.

Need My Coffee

Apprently not happy with the coffee just outside the Amazon room, Phil Hellmuth paid someone to take the long walk up to Starbucks to get him the good stuff.
