The last thirty minutes have been almost embarrassing as the focus has shifted away from what would have been an entertaining heads-up battle.
Under almost farcical circumstances we're off to dinner. See you in 90 minutes.
They then shook hands, seemingly in a gesture of good luck.
However the next hand was strange as the two entered into lengthy discussions during the middle of the hand. Neckar had limped and Phan was considering his option in the big blind. Unfortunately the discussions were at a volume that only dogs could hear as we struggled to catch anything that was said. It was a strange few minutes as no one was really sure what was happening as we couldn't hear the players' chat and there was no action in the hand!
After a good five minutes, Phan finally checked his option. The flop came
and Phan check-folded to the bet from Neckar.Neckar maintains a healthy lead and it will be interesting to see what develops in this contest moving forward.
