Clements Out-Flushed

Scott Clements has just been eliminated after flopping the second nuts. He held {J-Hearts}{K-Hearts} on a flop of {7-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the king-high flush but became the unfortunate victim of a cold deck as his opponent turned over {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for the stone cold nuts.

Clements wasn't drawing dead, but couldn't find his one out for the straight flush, as the turn {4-Clubs} and river {Q-Diamonds} left him heading to the exit in a state of disbelief.

Chad Batista Makes a Good Read

On a flop of {A-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} , a player in the six seat bet 700 into Chad Batista. Batista made the call. On the turn of the {A-Diamonds}, Batista's opponent bet out 1,200 and Batista again called. The river card of the {10-Spades} was checked to Batista and Batista made a bet of 2,000. His opponent mucked and Batista showed {K-Hearts} {9-Hearts} for a busted flush draw.

After the hand, Batista moved up to 22,000 in chips.

David Singer Doubles Up

David Singer raised preflop and received five callers, including Jennifer Tilly. On a flop of {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {3-Hearts}, all players checked around. On the turn of the {2-Hearts}, Singer moved all in for 4,100 and was called by only Tilly. Singer showed {4-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} for a wheel. Tilly showed the {5-Hearts} {9-Hearts} for a flush draw. The river was a {6-Spades} and Singer more than doubles up to 11,000.

ElkY Spikes Set To Survive

Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier moved all on on a flop of {9-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and was quickly called by an opponent who tabled {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} to have Grospellier in bad shape with his {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

Miraculously the {Q-Spades} spiked on the turn to give Grospellier the lead and the {A-Spades} on the river sent his unlucky opponent to the rail as Grospellier rakes in over 12,000 in chips.
