It's Like a Pokercoaster

JC Tran was on his way back up...

He limped from the cutoff and then called the button's raise to 1,200. He checked the {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, and when the button bet 3,000 he moved in for around 7,000 total. The button called.

Button: {A-Hearts} {A-Spades}
JC Tran: {5-Clubs} {6-Clubs}

Nothing further of interest on the turn or river, and JC had Tran-sformed his stack into 22,400.

-------

But after the next hand, he was back down to 5,500. Faced with a king-high flop, JC bet the pot. His opponent on the cutoff made it all in for 11,500, and JC called with K-Q. His opponent was holding A-K, and no miracle queen on the turn or river put JC right back down at the bottom end of the chip-stack hierarchy.
