Zachary Hyman and Hoyt Corkins Trade Blows

In Round 1, Hoyt Corkins bet from under the gun and Zachary Hyman called from the button. The flop came {9-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} and when Corkins bet Hyman called. The {3-Hearts} fell on the turn and this time Hyman raised after Hoyt bet. Corkins called, but when a blank fell on the river Corkins checked then folded when Hyman bet again. Hyman then showed {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts} for the bluff and scooped the pot.

But Corkins got swift revenge. Again he opened the pot and again Hyman called from the blind. The flop came {4-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} and when Hyman checked Corkins bet 4,000. Hyman check-raised to 8,000, Hoyt called, and he also called an 8,000 bet from Hyman when the {Q-Hearts} turned.

The {Q-Clubs} fell on the river and when Hyman again bet 8,000 Corkins raised. Hyman called saying, "Please don't tell me you have the queen..." Corkins indeed had the queen, flipping over {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} to crack Hyman's {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}.
