Sunny Chattha Eliminated

Sunny Chattha raised to 5,500 from late position, Scott Kahler made it 14,500 from the small blind and Kahler called. The flop came {7-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {3-Clubs} and Kahler moved all in for 40,000. Kahler had Chattha covered so it was Sunny's tournament life on the line. He called and the players showed:

Kahler: {6-Hearts} {5-Spades}
Chattha: {5-Diamonds} {5-Hearts}

The turn came the {K-Clubs} and the river the {6-Clubs}. Sunny Chattha was eliminated and Scott Kahler improves to just over 125,000 chips.

Elias Brussianos Eliminated by George Lind

Elias Brussianos was all in with {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} against the {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} of George Lind. The flop was {J-Spades} {10-Spades} {7-Diamonds}, Lind hitting his set, but Brussianos picking up a straight draw. The turn, though was the {10-Clubs} making Lind a full house and the meaningless {K-Spades} came on the river. Brussianos was eliminated while Lind is now up to 165,000.

Donny Carlton Picks Up Aces at the Perfect Time

Shawn Buchanan raised to 4,400 from early position. Donny Carlton put in a reraise to 13,800 and Anthony Harb moved all in for approximately 50,000. Buchanan folded and Carlton snap-called. The players showed:

Carlton: {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}
Harb: {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {J-Spades} {J-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {2-Spades} {9-Spades} and Harb hit the rail. After the hand, Carlton surges to 235,000.

Newman Two-Outers Beren

Eric Beren limped in from UTG, Clayton Newman moved all in and Beren made the call.

Beren {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}

Newman {4-Spades} {4-Clubs}

The flop was {A-Spades} {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs}, pairing Beren's ace. The turn was the {Q-Spades}, but the {4-Diamonds} spiked on the river, making Newman a set.

"That's so nasty. That's so gross," said Beren, as Newman dragged the pot, increasing his stack to 40,000. Beren was still healthy, though, with 64,000.

Jose Luis Velador Wins Huge Pot, Takes Chip Lead

We caught up this hand on the turn. With the board reading {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} {2-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}, Adrian Dresel-Velasquez moved all in for roughly 75,000. Jose Luis Velador made the call and the players showed:

Velador: {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}
Dresel-Velasquez: {5-Diamonds} {5-Hearts}

The river brought the {6-Diamonds} and Velador won the pot. He eliminated Dresel-Velasquez and became the chip leader with just over 210,000 chips.

Mike Allis Runner-Runners Hai Le

Hai Le opened for 4,600 from the hijack and Mike Allis called from the small blind. The flop was {9-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} . Allis checked, Le bet 5,500, Allis raised to 15,500, Le moved all in for 86,000 and Allis called all in for 35,500.

Allis {7-Hearts} {8-Hearts}

Le {6-Clubs} {9-Clubs}

Le was ahead with top pair against Allis' middle pair. The turn, though was the {6-Hearts}, making Le two pair but Allis picked up a straight-flush draw. The river filled the flush when the {J-Hearts} fell, and Allis doubled up to 87,000. Le was left with 51,000.

Andrew Hoffman Doubles Through Clayton Newman

We caught up to this hand just before the flop. The chips were in the middle and Andrew Hoffman was all in against Clayton Newman. The players showed:

Hoffman: {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}
Newman: {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}

The flop was gin for Hoffman, coming {9-Spades} {Q-Spades} {3-Hearts}. He took the lead in the hand and never gave it up. The turn and river were blanks and Hoffman doubled up to just over 39,000. Newman was left with 16,300 after the hand.

Brian Suttle raised to 5,000 from the cutoff, Faraz Jaka raised to 13,500 from the button, Suttle moved all in for 27,300 and Jaka called.

Jaka {6-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}

Suttle {K-Clubs} {K-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Spades} {10-Spades} {9-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {J-Hearts} and Suttle doubled to 85,000 with his pocket kings while Jaka was left with only 3,200.

On the next hand, Jaka moved all in and Hamed 'Tony' Cholagh looked him up from the big blind. Though Jaka was ahead with {A-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} to Cholagh's {J-Clubs} {9-Hearts} , a jack hit the flop, Jaka could not improve, and he hit the rail.
