Five players limped to see a flop of . A player in middle position led out for 1,800, and both David Grey and Ted Lawson stuck around. The came on the turn, and this time Grey bet 9,000, Lawson called from middle position, and the other player folded. Both then checked the on the river.
Grey showed for jacks full of queens. Lawson showed two of his cards -- -- and mucked.
Grey moved up to 46,000 on the hand, and Lawson down to 10,000.
A couple of hands later, Lawson was eliminated. At the same table, Jason Mercier has also just been eliminated.
On a board of , Layne Flack bet 3,000, Sherkan Farnood called, then Phil Ivey raised to 10,000. Flack reraised, and both Farnood and Ivey called. (Ivey had both Flack and Farnood covered.)
Flack had Q-Q-10-8 for the full house. He had a virtual lock on the hand, as Ivey showed J-J-x-x for the smaller boat, and Farnood A-K-10-9 for a doomed Broadway wrap.
No jack on the river, and Flack has leapfrogged up to 134,000. Meanwhile, Ivey is down to 47,000.
John Juanda and Josh Arieh -- both of whom have seats at that manic Table No. 14 that was leading the rebuy race at one point -- have yet to return from the break.
