Arieh You Kidding

'I know I got lucky'
'I know I got lucky'
Joah Arieh and Tony G are heads up in a pot with a {K-Spades} {10-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} flop.

Tony G re-raised Arieh's pot-sized bet all in. Arieh called.

Tony G flipped over {Q-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {8-Spades}.
Arieh showed {A-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}.

The turn {4-Diamonds} changed nothing, but the {Q-Diamonds} river made the straight for Arieh, eliminating Tony G.

Grey Skies for Lawson

Five players limped to see a flop of {3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. A player in middle position led out for 1,800, and both David Grey and Ted Lawson stuck around. The {J-Hearts} came on the turn, and this time Grey bet 9,000, Lawson called from middle position, and the other player folded. Both then checked the {Q-Diamonds} on the river.

Grey showed {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{6-Clubs} for jacks full of queens. Lawson showed two of his cards -- {2-Clubs}{4-Clubs} -- and mucked.

Grey moved up to 46,000 on the hand, and Lawson down to 10,000.

A couple of hands later, Lawson was eliminated. At the same table, Jason Mercier has also just been eliminated.

Gardening Leave

Julian Gardener and an opponent got all their chips in on a {2-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}

Gardener flopped a full house holding {2-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts}.

His opponent flopped trips with {6-Hearts} {A-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}.

The {3-Hearts} turn changed nothing but the {5-Spades} river made a bigger full house for Gardener's opponent and he is eliminated.

Moving Up, Down, Out

Ted Forrest just rivered a flush versus Noah Boeken, moving up to 25,000. Boeken has slipped to 8,000.

Meanwhile, Terrence Chan and Phil Gordon have been eliminated.

Full House for Flack

On a board of {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, Layne Flack bet 3,000, Sherkan Farnood called, then Phil Ivey raised to 10,000. Flack reraised, and both Farnood and Ivey called. (Ivey had both Flack and Farnood covered.)

Flack had Q-Q-10-8 for the full house. He had a virtual lock on the hand, as Ivey showed J-J-x-x for the smaller boat, and Farnood A-K-10-9 for a doomed Broadway wrap.

No jack on the river, and Flack has leapfrogged up to 134,000. Meanwhile, Ivey is down to 47,000.

Farnood was eliminated a couple of hands later.

Nightmare On 5th Street

Alex Kravchenko has just crippled Freddy Deeb. All the chips went in on the turn when the board was {J-Spades} {8-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}.

Deeb held {2-Hearts} {8-Spades} {A-Clubs} {7-Clubs} for the nut flush.
Kravchenko held {10-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts} for the second-nut flush with a redraw to a full house and straight flush.

The river came {Q-Diamonds} to make the full house for the Russian.

Deeb was eliminated two hands later.

No Hurry, No Worry

John Juanda and Josh Arieh -- both of whom have seats at that manic Table No. 14 that was leading the rebuy race at one point -- have yet to return from the break.
