Roaming the Room

Chris Ferguson and Andy Black just chopped a pot, both holding A-A-x-x. Ferguson has 19,000, and Black 38,000.

Tony Phillips just took a big pot from Brock Parker. Phillips has 41,000, and Parker 7,000.

Joe Hachem just doubled through Mark Vos. Hachem is still alive with 6,800, and Vos has 14,000.

The Quest Continues for Ivey

Ivey Eliminated
Ivey Eliminated
After building a big stack during the rebuy period, Phil Ivey has been eliminated.

Three players -- including Gabe Costner and Chad Brown -- had limped, and Ivey raised to 2,100 from the small blind. All called.

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades}, and Ivey bet the pot. A middle position player raised all in with his last 30,000, and Costner reraised with his last 36,000. Ivey made the call with his remaining chips.

Ivey showed {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a gutshot draw. Costner had {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for a set of sixes. And the third player had {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for a wrap straight draw. Ivey was in trouble.

The {2-Clubs} decided the hand right there. Ivey and the other player busted, and Costner is now up to 90,000.

Gazes at the River

Bill Gazes calls a bet from an under-the-gun player on a {5-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {4-Spades} flop.

The turn comes {3-Clubs} and Gazes under-calls all in to the next bet he faces.

Gazes shows {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} for a pair of queens and he's ahead of his opponent's {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {4-Clubs} for a pair of fours.

The river comes {7-Hearts} to make two-pair for Gazes' opponent, and he's out.

Gowen Busts Williams

A severely short-stacked David Williams pushed preflop with {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, and Clonie Gowen called with {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

The flop came {A-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}, giving Gowen a wheel. The turn and river -- {7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} -- couldn't save Williams, and he is out. Gowen is up to 27,000.

Brenes Draws Out on Medic

Nenad Medic raised to 2,000, and Humberto Brenes called. The flop came {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Medic bet 1,800, Brenes raised pot, Medic reraised, and Brenes called with the rest of his chips.

Medic showed {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a set of tens. Brenes showed {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a wrap draw. The {5-Diamonds} came on the turn, and Medic was still ahead. But the {J-Diamonds} fell on the river, giving Brenes a straight and the pot.

Brenes is up to 22,000, and Medic down to 8,500.

Missed Draws

'I missed a couple of draws,' Greg Raymer tells Joe Hachem on the rail.

This is shortly after Raymer was eliminated by an opponent's {K-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}.

The board was {Q-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {2-Hearts} {6-Spades} {2-Diamonds} and Raymer mucked his hand and walked off.
