Flushes and Cold Decks

We're almost an hour and a half into today's event and thus far, little action has been seen. We've only seen ten flops out of 35 hands played. We've had three eliminations already, two of which were to nut flushes.

Are players playing extra tight today, or did someone put the deck in an ice box before the tournament started?

Hand #35-- Doug Middleton

Doug Middleton limped on the button and Danny Wong and Jason Wald called in the blinds. The flop came {J-Spades} {10-Hearts} {7-Spades} and when Wong checked Wald bet 55,000. Middleton moved all in, Wong mucked, and then Wald mucked as well.

Hand #34-- Rick Solis Has Been Eliminated (Seventh Place, $106,884)

Rick Solis
Rick Solis
Jesper Hougaard raised to 62,000 and Rick Solis called on the button. The flop came {Q-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {10-Clubs}, Hougaard checked, Solis checked. The {9-Spades} turned, Hougaard bet 76,000, and Solis announced all in. Hougaard quickly called and showed {A-Clubs} {3-Clubs} for the flopped flush, while Solis had {J-Diamonds} {10-Spades}. The {J-Spades} that fell on the river wasn't enough to save Solis and he's out in seventh place.
