Hevad "Rain" Khan was just recently moved into the Orange section of the Amazon room. He sat down in his new seat assignment and managed to eliminate a player on his first hand. Khan was dealt aces, which were good by the river, and Khan doubled up to 8,500.
Immediately after his first hand at the table, a floor staff came back by and announced he'd be moving again.
After conjuring the out of thin air simply by asking for it in an earlier hand, John Phan wasn't able to summon a king or a jack when his was up against . The board brought Phan no help, and he was eliminated.
After losing all but a handful of chips Justin Bonomo doubled up twice, once when he held A-K and his massive 250 all-in move was called by A-5. "I move in and you call with ace-five? Come on!" Bonomo joked. He won that pot, then won again with 10-7 when he made a pair on the flop, borrowed a pair of sunglasses, waited a few moments, then stoically moved in his last 75 chips. He won that pot as well, but his luck (and theatrics) came to an end soon after and he was eliminated.
Anna Wroblewski just recently took her seat within the field, yet she's been here in the Amazon room for a while now. Early reports saw Anna over in the high-stakes cash game taking down a few big pots. After the start of Level 3, Anna is in her seat and ready to go.
After a J-5-2 flop an early-position player bet 1,000 and Dmitri Nobles moved all in. Ed Hanson called, the original bettor folded and Nobles called. His pocket queens led Hanson's A-J, but Hanson spiked an ace on the river to take the pot and bring a sudden end to Nobles' tournament.
With the board reading Tran and another player traded raises until all the money was in the pot. Tran revealed to his opponent's and Tran won the pot when the fell on the river. He's now up to 15,000.
