Rousso Drops Down, Doubles Up

Vanessa Rousso had been steadily losing chips for a little while. In one hand, she doubled up a short stack who was holding A-K and went all in on the river of a king-high board.

Down to just 5,000, she called a small preflop raise in the big blind, and then check-raised all in for 4,300 to a 2,000 bet on the {2-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} flop; her opponent called.

Rousso: {K-Spades} {2-Spades}
Opponent: {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}

Turn: {K-Diamonds}

River: {7-Clubs}

Rousso stays in the game with 10,000.

Former Caribbean Poker Adventure winner Steve Paul-Ambrose is now on 10,000 after triumphing in a three-way pot involving Eli Elezra. Raising to 2,200 preflop, Paul-Ambrose trickled his final 425 over the line on a {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop with {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, which managed to win after an {A-Clubs} turn and {7-Clubs} river. Elezra showed an ace.

Well, if you're going to exit, it might as well be a good hand, Rolf Slotboom mucking upon being shown {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the straight flush on a {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{J-Spades}{6-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} board.

Slotboom shook the hand of each of his opponents before exiting stage left.
