Day 1 is Over!

Day 1 of the $5,000 Mixed Hold'em Event #4 is at an end. The tight field of 332 players was absolutely loaded with big-name, focused professionals. Among the first to depart for future events were Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, Vanessa Rousso, and Gabe "Mr. Kotter" Kaplan.

Sticking around for Day 2 action are some of the best players in the world, including Jon "PearlJammer" Turner with 87,000 in chips, Justin "ZeeJustin" Bonomo with 73,900, fellow Bodog-sponsored pro David Williams close behind with 67,000, and triple-crown (WSOP, WPT, EPT) winner Gavin Griffin with 65,800.

Jimmy "gobboboy" Fricke, playing in his second major non-European event since turning 21 (Event #2 being the first), is doing just fine at 57,600.

Play resumes Tuesday at 3 p.m. Pacific time, at which point the remaining 91 will play down to a final table of nine. It's a good bet it won't take as long to get there as the marathon Event #2, currently in progress with many hours to go.

See you here at 3 pm for all the action!
