The First of Many?

Limit Hold'em:

Lou Esposito managed to double up to 2,900 after moving all in with {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}. He found a caller holding {Q-Clubs} {5-Hearts}.

The board ran {3-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {8-Spades}.

Esposito managed to dodge the queen but is still very short and will need a few more of those.

Fabrice Soulier Plays It Safe

Limit Hold'em:

Fabrice Soulier raised from the small blind after the cutoff limped. The cutoff then called. The flop came {A-Spades} {J-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} and Soulier led out with a bet. The cutoff called.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and Soulier checked. His opponent bet and Soulier called.

The river was the {6-Hearts} and Soulier checked-called again. At the showdown, Soulier turned up {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} and his opponent mucked.

Soulier said, "I thought you had ace-jack," as he raked in the chips.

Heath Chick Goes Out

Heath "TassieDevil" Chick
Heath "TassieDevil" Chick
No-Limit Hold'em:

Five people limp into the pot in front of Heath "TassieDevil" Chick. From the button, he raises it up to 1,400. The small blind is next, and he moves all in. Action folds back around to late position, where one of the original limpers moves all in as well. Chick calls, all in for his last 8,800 chips, and the hands are turned over:

Chick: {J-Spades} {J-Hearts}
Small Blind: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}
Late Position: {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds}

His opponents had TassieDevil in tough shape, and the board failed to provide him any help. It ran out {7-Spades} {5-Clubs} {8-Spades} {A-Hearts} {9-Spades}, sending Chick back to his day job.
