Our friendly neighborhood tournament director just went around taking some water to our players. Out of nowhere he starts saying, "Waterboy to the final table area. Bobby Bouche to the final table area."
We are beginning to wonder if there is water in our tournament director's water bottle.
Chad Burum got all his chips in the middle against Erik Seidel who showed A-K-5-10 with Burum holding 6-5-4-3. The flop of looked bad for Burum, but the board ran low on the turn and the river to give Burum the low and Erik the high.
Martin Klaser raised from the button and Chad Burum moved all in for his remaining chips. Martin made the call and showed A-J-Q-5 with Burum holding A-6-Q-Q. The board ran high and both players made a pair of aces with a queen kicker to chop the pot.
Martin Klaser and Michael Fetter just butted heads preflop only to chop it up after Martin made a diamond flush on the turn to beat out Fetter's A-K high. Fetter held A-2 for the nut low and both players took their chips back.
We've had just a few hands since returning from break, yet we've only seen one flop! Once one player raises, most fold around. Most recently though, John Maren bumped it up to 30,000 preflop and Erik Seidel made the call from the big blind. But on a flop of , Erik let it go after Maren fired again.
On a flop of , both Martin Klaser and Chad Burum managed to get all their chips in the middle with Burum holding and Klaser with for the same low. The turn brought the , giving both players the nut low, but the on the river gave Martin a pair of tens to take the high and quarter Burum on the low.
In the last 10 minutes the stands here at the final table have been steadily filling up. Some are sweating particular players at the final table, but with 6 players left, and Erik Seidel still in the hunt, more and more people are coming in hoping to catch a glimpse at history.
