Hand Recap

The last couple of hands have either been picked up by the first one to bet the pot or off of a high flop which had a few limpers. So far today, it would appear that the first one to raise is the one who wins the pot.

Joseph Haddad Eliminated - 7th Place ($34,389)

Joseph Haddad
Joseph Haddad
Martin Klaser led out preflop for 30,000 and Joseph Haddad moved all in for his remaining 60,000. Martin hesitated, then decided to call showing {A-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {3-Spades} and was crushed by Haddad's {A-Hearts} {A-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}. However, the flop fell {2-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {4-Clubs} to give Martin a flopped wheel. Haddad couldn't find a way to improve by the river and is our seventh place finisher.

Larry Wright Eliminated - 8th Place ($27,027)

Larry Wright was eliminated after being shortstacked down to just 17,000 on a previous hand, then moving all in against Casey Kastle preflop. Kastle flopped the nut flush holding {A-Spades} {4-Spades} and the board bricked high on the river to eliminated Wright who wasn't able to make a low.

Joseph Haddad Doubles Up, Again

Larry Wright lost a major chunk of his stack after getting heads up with Joseph Haddad preflop. Joseph held {A-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {2-Hearts} and Larry Wright {A-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {4-Spades} {2-Diamonds} for near identical hands. However, the board ran {2-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {6-Spades} to give Joseph the nut straight and the nut low.

Don't Quit Your Day Job

Our floorman has decided to serenade us in song every time that there has been a walk so far today. We aren't quite sure what he is singing. If we were in New Orleans, it would be "Walking to New Orleans". We don't believe that there is a "Walking to Vegas" or "Rootin' in the Rio."

It's a Final Table, Charlie Brown

If you look around at today's final table you will see a wide array of outfits. Erik Seidel is wearing his typical Full Tilt hat with a striped dress shirt. Tom Chambers is weaing a polo and cowboy hat. Chad Burum is wearing a nice flower print shirt. Then we come to Joseph Haddad. He is wearing a light blue Snoopy shirt that looks like it is about 20 years old.

Joseph Haddad Triples Up

Preflop, Joseph Haddad moved all in as a short stack and was called by both Martin Klaser and Erik Seidel from the blinds.

The flop came {4-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {8-Hearts} and both Erik and Martin checked. The turn brought the {10-Hearts} and Erik bet 30,000 after Martin checked. Martin got out of the way and Erik showed {10-Spades} {8-Spades} {K-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} for top two pair while Haddad turned over {A-Spades} {5-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} for a made full house.

Haddad had to dodge an eight or a ten on the river, and did so when the {K-Diamonds} fell. Joseph took the whole pot, tripling up in the process.

Chad Burum Doubles Through Joseph Haddad

Chad Burum and Joseph Haddad were all in on the flop of {6-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}. Burum held {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {7-Hearts} for the second nut low draw and a pair of fours. Haddad held {A-Spades} {2-Hearts} {9-Spades} {10-Spades} for the nut low draw.

The turn brought the {2-Diamonds} to counterfeit Haddad's low and the {5-Clubs} on the river gave Burum the wheel for the nut low, and his straight took the high as well.
