Bach Wins Big With Small Holding

David Bach
David Bach
Stud:

Bueno: (X) (X) {A-Spades}
Berman: (X) (X) {Q-Hearts}
Bach: (X) (X) {3-Clubs}

David Bach had the bring in and Patrick Bueno completed. Lyle Berman called and Bach called as well.

Bueno bet 4th street and Berman and Bach both called. When Bueno bet 5th street, Berman passed but Bach came along.

6th street saw Bueno check-calling a bet from Bach. Both players checked the river and showed:

Bueno: ({K-Spades}) ({Q-Spades}) {A-Spades} {10-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} ({4-Hearts})
Bach: ({3-Hearts}) ({10-Clubs}) {3-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} ({9-Hearts})

Bueno had a royal flush draw and plenty of overcards but in the end Bach's pair of threes were best. He took the pot and now has about 575,000 chips.

Billy "The Croc" Argyros Crippled

Razz:

Current chip leader Michael DeMichele just took a detour through the stack of Billy "The Croc" Argyros. On third street, the players showed:

Argyros: (X) (X) {3-?}
DeMichele: (X) (X) {8-?}

Argyros completed, DeMichele raised and Argyros called. DeMichele proceeded to bet every street through the river and Argyros called him the whole way. In the end, they showed:

Argyros: ({9-?}) ({A-?}) {3-?} {4-?} {10-?} {2-?} (X)
DeMichele: ({2-?}) ({6-?}) {8-?} {7-?} {8-?} {5-?} ({5-?})

Billy mucked his river card and was left with just 15,000. DeMichele increases his chip lead as his stack is now over the 1,100,000 mark.

After returning from the dinner break, Billy "The Croc" Argyros was in the mood for a massage. He removed the crocodile that usually rests atop his head and his masseuse delightedly donned it.
