Blair Hinkle Eliminated

Blair Hinkle will have to wait til next time around to try for his second bracelet this summer as he's just been eliminated from the tournament.

Nick Binger opened the pot with a raise to 1,800 and Hinkle re-popped it to 5,100. Binger then raised enough to put Hinkle all in and Hinkle made the call tabling a pocket pair of tens; Binger revealed {A-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}.

The {9-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {K-Hearts} flop was a safe one for Hinkle's tens, but the {A-Hearts} that fell on the turn tilted the scales in favor of Binger. An inconsequential {3-Diamonds} on fifth street locked things up for Binger and Hinkle was sent to the rail.

Binger stacked up ~44,000 in chips after the hand.

Suck and then Re-Suck for Hachem

Tony Hachem was all in against a player who held {Q-Hearts} {Q-Spades}. Hachem had the best of it with {K-Spades} {K-?}. The flop was {8-Spades} {4-Spades} {3-Spades} and then bam, a {Q-Diamonds} hit the turn.

Hachem jumped out of his chair and needed to spike on the river. He told the dealer to, "Spike it one time!"

Then the dealer tapped the table, burned a card, and placed a beautiful {K-?} on the river. Hachem smacked his hands together and high-fived a few people.

Buss Doubles Through Vos

Jerry Buss and Mark Vos recently tangled in a hand that resulted in Buss doubling up to 26,000.

On a flop of {A-?} {Q-?} {J-?}, Buss checked to Vos who fired a 3,000 bet. Buss then moved in over the top for a total of 10,000. Vos made the call and showed {A-?} {J-Spades} for top and bottom pair, while Buss revealed {A-?} {A-Hearts} for top set. Running eights on the turn and river locked things up for Buss who now sits with approximately 26,000. Vos dropped to 42,000 in the loss.

van den Berg = Busto

Thierry van den Berg
Thierry van den Berg
T6Poker pro Thierry van den Berg has just been eliminated from the field -- the result of a bold call from an unknown opponent.

Facing a 1,200 raise from his opponent, van den Berg re-popped it to 4,800 and his opponent made the call. According to van den Berg, the flop came {Q-?} {Q-?} {2-?} and he opened with a 5,700 bet; his opponent called. A jack then fell on the turn and van den Berg open-shoved for his last 14,000. His opponent snap-called and tabled a pocket pair of threes; Thierry produced {K-?} {9-?} high would need help to stay alive but none came as the river brought an inconsequential {5-?}, sending van den Berg to the rail

Ruthenberg Has a Better House Than Buchanan

It was blind versus blind action and the flop was {10-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {6-Spades} and Sebastian Ruthenberg bet 500. Shawn Buchanan called.

The turn brought the {10-Diamonds} and Ruthenberg checked. Buchanan bet out 875 and then Ruthenberg made it 2,500. Buchanan called.

The river was the {A-Hearts} and Ruthenberg led for 6,000. Buchanan called.

Ruthenberg turned over {A-Spades} {10-Hearts} for a full house that improved on the river. Buchanan flashed the {10-Spades} and then mucked his hand.

Ruthenberg is up to 24,000 after this hand.
