He Was Awake All Along

Richard Lyndaker raised to 32,000 from under the gun. The table folded around to Tom Lutz who called from the small blind.

The flop came {2-Hearts}

. Lyndaker made a motion as if to check, even though it wasn't his turn. Lutz bet 40,000, and Lyndaker called.

The turn was the {Q-Hearts}

. Lyndaker again appeared to check. "You don't have to check," he was told. "Oh!" he replied, and the table chuckled. It has been a long day (and night).

This time Lutz bet 85,000, and again Lyndaker called.

The river was the {2-Spades}

. Lutz bet 140,000, and Lyndaker raised all in. Lutz folded.

Lyndaker now has 900,000, and Lutz 530,000.
