Stringham Along

Mojgan Stringham picked a good time to come up with a straight. She led the betting from fourth street on with a board of x-x / {6-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {Q-Spades} against Joshua Feldman's x-x / {A-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {6-Clubs} and Ryan Hughes' x-x / {Q-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}. Down the river, Stringham again bet, and Feldman raised. His raise folded Hughes, but Stringham called all in.

"Just sixes," said Feldman. Stringham opened {3-Spades} {5-Spades} {7-Hearts} in the hole for a seven low and a seven-high straight to scoop the pot. Bad timing by Feldman.

Stringham jumped to 58,000 after the hand.

Katchalov vs. Feldman

Joshua Feldman brings it in with the {5-Spades}. Eugene Katchalov raises with the {6-Hearts} and Feldman reraises. Katchalov calls.

Fourth street:

Katchalov bets with the {6-Clubs} and Feldman raises with the {8-Diamonds}. Katchalov calls.

Fifth street:

Katchalov checks his {7-Clubs} and Feldman bets {A-Clubs}. Katchalov calls.

Sixth street:

Katchalov bets {2-Clubs} and Feldman calls {9-Clubs}.

Seventh street:

Katchalov bets and Feldman calls.

Katchalov: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Feldman: {5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

Katchalov scoops with the low flush. He's up to 71,000 while Feldman is knocked down to 87,000.

Last Six Bustouts

These players received $2,673:
42 Ben Tang
41 Craig Popowcer

These players received $2,895:
40 Debbie Burkhead
39 Greg Pappas
38 Marvin Glusac
37 Michelle Polgar

Double Elimination: Craig Popowcer, Ben Tang ($2,673)

Earlier in the day, we noticed that Craig Popowcer's seat was empty. We erroneously believed that he had busted. Not so, we were told at dinner break! He was alive and healthy. That is no longer the case.

In a three-way hand with George Markakis, Popowcer and Ben Tang both got all their chips in the middle. Popowcer was drawing at an eight low, but missed it. Tang made a king-high flush, which was one rank worse than Markakis' ace-high flush. Markakis scooped the pot and eliminated both opponents. They each will collect $2,673 from the cage.

Make Seven Up Yours

Travis Erdman brings it in with the {2-Spades} and Hellmuth raises with the {J-Hearts}. Erdman reraises and Hellmuth calls.

On fourth, Erdman gets the {A-Clubs} and Hellmuth the {10-Diamonds}. Erdman bets and Hellmuth calls.

On fifth, Erdman gets {Q-Diamonds} and Hellmuth {A-Hearts}. Erdman bets and Hellmuth calls.

On sixth, Erdman gets {7-Hearts} and Hellmuth {5-Clubs}. Erdman bets and Hellmuth calls.

On seventh, Erdman bets again. "I hope you have sevens up!" says Hellmuth as he calls. Instead, Erdman rolls over {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{A-Spades} for three aces and takes the pot. "How did I play that, Phil?" he says. Hellmuth responds with silence.
