Phil Hellmuth Eliminated

Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth
Shortly after being dropped down to just 225 in chips, Phil Hellmuth managed to double up and double up again. In fact, he was up to 1,400 just four hands after being short-stacked.

However, Phil has had a hard time winning races today. He claims to have dodged the pocket aces earlier, then got shorted against pocket queens. His elimination came after going all in against a player while holding A-K. His opponent held pocket eights, which held up, and Phil was eliminated.

Horse Runs Free

Players at the six tables surrounding the H.O.R.S.E event have now all been broken and moved to new areas. At the moment, it is a bit of a zoo in the Amazon room, however, the tournament staff is doing all they can to get things situated as best as possible.

Dodge Bullets = Yes, Queens = No

Preflop, a player under the gun raised and Phil Hellmuth moved all in. His opponent called and showed pocket queens while Hellmuth had A-K. Hellmuth missed the board and the queens held up, knocking Hellmuth down to just 225 in chips.

Dodging Bullets, Again

Preflop, Phil Hellmuth had limped in with pocket kings when an opponent raised to 550. Hellmuth called and saw a flop of J-9-2. Hellmuth's opponent fired out and Hellmuth called to see an 8 on the turn. Hellmuth's opponent moved all in and Hellmuth folded. After his fold, his opponent showed pocket rockets.

As we all know, Phil Hellmuth can dodge bullets--and he continues to prove it.

Jordan Morgan Eliminated

Jordan Morgan was eliminated after moving all in for his remaining 550 with K-J and was called by an opponent holding pocket tens. The pocket tens made a set on the flop and Morgan failed to improve.

Shak Doubles Up

Beth Shak moved all in preflop holding {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}. Her opponent called with pocket jacks, but Shak spiked an ace on the flop and is now back up to 1,900.

Isabelle Mercier Eliminated

On a flop of {J-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {6-Spades}, Isabelle Mercier moved all in and was called by her opponent. Isabelle showed {10-Spades} {9-Spades} for middle pair while her opponent held pocket sixes for a flopped set. Isabelle failed to improve, but had her opponent covered.

Down to a short stack, Isabelle moved all in holding K-9 on the next hand and was called by an opponent holding pocket fives. The fives held up for her opponent and Isabelle was sent to the rail.

Hellmuthian Arrival

Phil Hellmuth has joined our tournament, arriving just in time for the H.O.R.S.E. tournament to begin. Oddly enough, he also happens to be seated directly in front of the restart area for the H.O.R.S.E. event, which gives him perfect opportunities to rail, and harass, any of the remaining pros.
