Technical Difficulties

The H.O.R.S.E event is now taking place in the designated section adjacent to our event. The clocks facing the H.O.R.S.E event have all been turned over to that event's info and players in the $1,500 NL Hold'em event have been complaining to the floorstaff that they have no clock or other information.

They've begun busting the tables here in the Orange section, but for some reason they've started in the back of the section rather than up front next to H.O.R.S.E, where the televisions have all been changed.

They've already cleared nine tables, though, so it shouldn't be much longer for players without clocks to get moved to a section in which they can see again.

Double-up for Feldman

Peter Feldman was all in preflop holding A-3 and his opponent had him crushed with A-Q. The board ran {2-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {9-Spades} {4-Clubs} {5-Hearts} to river Feldman a running straight. After the hand, Feldman is up to 3,400.

Going Fast

We started with over 2,700 players today and we're down to roughly 1,800. That's almost 1,000 players in just two hours.

Alex Jacob Eliminated

Alex Jacob moved his remaning 1,225 into the middle of the table preflop holding {A-Spades} {7-Diamonds} and was called by a middle-position player who held {A-Clubs} {K-Spades}. The hand looked to be a chopped pot through the turn, as the board read {9-Spades} {9-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {5-Hearts} . However, Jacob's opponent was best as the river fell {K-Hearts}, giving him the pot and eliminating Jacob from today's event.

Khan Missed Draw

Hevad "Rain" Khan bet out on a board of {6-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds} and his opponent called. Khan's opponent was all in and showed A-Q while Khan held J-Q. The river paired the board and his opponent took it down with ace-high.

After the hand, Khan is down to 1,800.

Times Are a Changin'

The player in the cutoff made it 550 preflop and Gavin Smith made it 1,400 and was all in. The cutoff had him covered and called, showing pocket sevens. Gavin had pocket kings. Both players missed the flop, but the turn was a seven to give his opponent a set. However, a king peeled off on the river and Gavin began singing, "Times are a changin'."

After the hand, Gavin is up to 3,200.

Murphy Likes the River

John Murphy made it 1,000 to go preflop and his opponent in the small blind moved all in for 1,700 total. Murphy called and showed {6-Hearts} {4-Hearts} while his opponent held {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs}. The board ran {5-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {8-Clubs} and John Murphy eliminated a player after making a straight on the river.
