David Chiu Eliminated

David Chiu moved all-in preflop and was called by a single opponent. Chiu held pocket eights, which looked good against his opponent's K-10. However, a king hit on the flop and sent David to the rail.

Nam Le Eliminates Erick Lindgren

With several players limping into the pot (including Nam Le) Erick Lindgren moved in for his last 6,000. It was folded back to Le who looked Lindgren over while deciding what to do. "What are you looking at?" Lindgren joked before Le made the call.

He turned over {9-Clubs} {10-Clubs} while Lindgren held {K-Hearts} {9-Hearts}. Lindgren caught a King on the {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {J-Hearts} flop, but Le filled his inside straight draw when the {Q-Clubs} hit on the turn and Lindgren's day came to an end when the {4-Diamonds} fell on the river. Le now has 26,000.

Mouth Goes Silent

Mike "The Mouth" Matusow moved all-in preflop for his remaining 3,000 in chips and was called by Chris Moore. Moore is the same player who recently raked in a huge pot when he ran pocket aces against Greg Raymer's A-K.

Moore turned over {9-Spades} {8-Diamonds} and was up against Matusow's {A-Hearts} {5-Hearts} . Moore connected on the flop when he spiked an eight and Matusow was unable to improve, eliminating him from today's event.

Official Prizepool Information

The Harrah's tournament staff have finally released today's prizepool information and it's a doozy. Event #5 had 766 entrants, with a staggering 2,258 rebuys. The rebuys alone totaled $2.258mil with the grand total prizepool reaching $2,894,094.

The top 72 players will be paid, with 72nd place taking home a nice $8,103 and 1st place raking in $636,736! Not too shabby for a tournament with an entry fee of $1,000 - for those who only bought in once, that is.

That Was A Boo Boo

In a battle of the blinds just before the break, Lee Watkinson hit a set of sixes when the flop came {J-Spades} {5-Spades} {6-Clubs}. When the {10-Clubs} turned, the other player bet and Watkinson raised. His opponent thought Watkinson had moved all in and tabled his hand--pocket Queens. But Watkinson hadn't gone all in--he still had chips behind and the opposing player took his hand back.

The river was the {7-Hearts}, and although everyone at the table--including Watkinson--knew what he had, the other player moved all in. Of course, there was no way he was going to win another chip--if Watkinson couldn't beat QQ he'd just fold. But if Watkinson COULD beat QQ his opponent stood to lose his stack, and that's exactly what happened. Watkinson tabled his sixes, took down a massive pot, and his dejected opponent headed out of the Amazon Room. Watkinson now has 65,000.
