Prize Pool Out-of-Sync

Players are on a short break right now while the tournament staff does a color up. We're aware that the prize pool information is off by one player, but currently the Omaha H/L tournament is having a bit of a dilemma and we're unable to get access to Harrah's information until that is corrected. Please stay tuned for more updates and everything will be fixed shortly.

Mistake

Apestyles fans, fear not--he's still in the event. We misidentified him in the bustout post and he's still in the tournament. My apologies.

John Hoang Eliminated

Preflop, John Hoang made it 25,000 to go and was called by Alan Jaffray. The flop came {9-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} and Hoang made it 30,000 to go. Jaffray moved all in and Hoang called and turned over pocket tens, while Jaffray turned over pocket aces. The aces held up for Jaffray and Hoang was eliminated, pushing Jaffray up to 570,000 in chips.

Battle of the Blinds

Preflop, Phi Nguyen called in the small blind while Daniel Negreanu checked the big blind. The flop came {J-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {7-Hearts} and Nguyen led out for 15,000 and Negreanu called. The turn brought the {J-Clubs} and Nguyen fired 30,000 into the pot. Negreanu moved all-in and Nguyen called. Negreanu turned over 10-9 for the flopped straight, while Nguyen showed J-8 for a full house. After the hand, Negreanu is down to just 40,000 in chips while Nguyen is up to 345,000.

Top Pair for Jaffray

Preflop, Alan Jaffray made it 16,500 to go and Michael Banducci raised to 40,500. Jaffray made the call and the flop came {J-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {6-Clubs}. Banducci led out for 28,000 and Alan called. The turn was the {Q-Spades} and Banducci fired 200,000 into the pot. Jaffray moved all in over the top and Banducci called. Banducci turned over {A-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} for ace-high while Jaffray showed {K-Spades} {J-Clubs} for mid-pair. The {3-Diamonds} on the turn helped no one and Jaffray was up to 460,000 after the hand, while Banducci was down to 300,000.

Binger Moves Up

Michael Binger led out preflop for 15,000 and William Cole moved all-in from the button. Binger made the call, turned over {J-Hearts} {10-Clubs} to find he was up against Cole's {A-Hearts} {6-Hearts}. The board came {7-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {K-Clubs} and was of no help to Binger. The turn brought the {9-Hearts}, giving Binger a gut shot. But the {J-Spades} on the river gave Binger top pair and eliminated William Cole.
