Start Resizing the Bracelet

There are still over 2,000 players left in today's event and the player who wins will end up with around 8 million chips in front of him (or, indeed, her). Anna Wroblewski currently has around 9,000 of those chips and after her table broke she moved to her new table and was asked how things were going today.

"Pretty good," she said, and then after thinking a second she said, "I think I'm going to win."

Bryan Micon is Out

After a {A-Clubs} {3-Spades} {4-Diamonds} flop a player led out and Micon raised an additional 825. The player in the small blind called and the original bettor folded. The {10-Spades} fell on the turn, the small blind checked then called when Micon moved in for his last 3,600. Micon's {4-Clubs} {3-Clubs} made for a smaller two pair than his opponent's {A-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}, and when the {2-Hearts} came on the river Micon was eliminated.

Chris Ferguson Doubles Up

After one player limped from the cutoff, Chris Ferguson raised to 900 from the small blind. The big blind passed and the limper made the call.

The flop came {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} and Ferguson bet 1,000. His opponent raised, making it 2,5000 straight and Ferguson moved all in for 3,900 total. His opponent called and the players showed:

Ferguson: {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}
Opponent: {9-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}

Up against a flush draw and an inside straight draw, Ferguson had to dodge a lot of cards. Luckily for him, the turn came the {3-Clubs} and the river the {6-Hearts}. Ferguson's top pair was best and he doubled up to approximately 9,400.

Anna Wroblewski Chips Up

After seeing a {2-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} flop, the player under the gun bet 1,300 and Anna Wroblewski raised to 1,825, setting her opponent all in. He called and found that his {A-Clubs} {J-Spades} was dominated by Wroblewski's {J-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}. He needed to catch an ace, but when the board ran out {Q-Diamonds} {4-Spades} he was out and Anna was up to 7,300.

Main Event Practice in the Brasilia Room

Tournament supervisors in the Brasilia room were simultaneously trying to set up a mega satellite, restart the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event, break the tables in the $1,500 event and check in about 30 dealers for the mega.

With just eight tables in this event left in Brasilia room, there was about a 2:1 player-to-dealer ratio.

One floor supervisor, slightly frustrated, put index finger and thumb to his head saying, under his breath, "What a disaster."

Fifteen minutes later — after asking the H.O.R.S.E. players to hold up — "disaster" was apparently averted.

Zeidman Eliminated

Cory Zeidman exited the event late in Level 2 after flopping top set but being rivered by a flush. All in for his last 800 with pocket nines against {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}, Zeidman and his opponent both caught the {2-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} flop.

"Just pair the board! Just pair the board!" shouted Zeidman. The {3-Diamonds} turn was no pairing card but still safe for Zeidman, but the {5-Spades} river was not, completing the opponent's flush.
