A Millie, A Millie, A Millie!

Stack them chips Jeremiah, stack them chips
Stack them chips Jeremiah, stack them chips
Jeremiah Smith just hit the 1,000,000 chip mark and is the first person to do so in this year's Main Event! With the chip average at just over 200,000, Smith is our chip leader and the only player in seven figures. He took a pot when he flopped the nut flush to put him over the million mark.

Smith has been playing solid poker and is really using his big stack well. There have been few pots that Smith has given up at his table, and he will be a true force to tangle with, especially with the chip stack he has built.

There is no guarantee that Smith will go deep in the Main Event, but it sure looks like it. In previous years, Joe Hachem and Jerry Yang didn't hold the chip lead going into the money, but they were still able to play their cards just right to take it down. Jamie Gold had a massive chip lead going into the money and rode it all the way to the final table, and for the win. Smith does have Sigurd Eskeland hot on his heels, but at the opposite end of the room. Besides Smith, there isn't anyone who has half the chips he has at his table.
