Luis Velador Eliminated in 23rd Place ($7,918)

Luis Velador
Luis Velador
Omaha

This just in: Daniel Makowsky is running over his table.

In the last hand, he was heads up with Luis Velador on a flop of {5-Clubs} {4-Spades} {4-Clubs}. Velador check-called a bet of 10,000, and the turn card brought the {A-Hearts}. Velador checked again, and Makowsky fired out 32,000 chips. After a moment, Velador check-raised all in for ~55,000 total, and Makowsky quickly called the extra amount.

Velador turned over {A-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {7-Hearts} for a big draw. Makowsky was ahead with his {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {4-Hearts}. The river card was a stone-cold blank, as the {J-Spades} did nothing to improve Velador. His pair of aces were no good, and he has been knocked out in 23rd place.
