Michael Dyer raised in early position and got looked up by Peter Rho in the big blind.

Rho checked and Dyer bet 125,000 -- but Rho raised and Dyer quickly let it go.

TD: "Applause is encouraged."

Rail: a mere spattering of applause.

McGowan Dyed

Jonathan McGowan raised to 75,000 and big blind Michael Dyer gave him a spin.

Flop: {4-Clubs}

-- a slightly disappointing check-check.

Turn: {9-Clubs}

Dyer checked again, and this time McGowan bet 110,000. Dyer now raised to 275,000 and before the chips had even hit the felt, McGowan had passed.

McGowan, by far the most active player on the final table, raised again, to 85,000. This time, however, Micahel Dyer re-popped him for a massive 500,000. Everyone else got out of their way, and back around to McGowan, a call.

Geary Runs Out of Juice, Wins Pot

Jim Geary and Anthony Harb saw a {10-Spades}

flop, and while Geary was considering his options, a TV gent appeared trying to change the battery in his mic pack thingy. Realizing that Geary was in a hand, the gent stopped trying to change the battery and crouched very still by the table, hoping that nobody would see him. Everyone saw him. Nevertheless Geary bet out 130,000, Harb folded, the battery was duly changed and play continues as normal.

Brent Sheirbon Eliminated in 9th Place ($59,315)

Brent Sheirbon had been rather quiet all final table and was down to 404,000 when he shoved with pocket {3-Hearts}

. But lucky Anthony Harb! He woke up with pocket {A-Diamonds}

, snap-called, obviously, and although Sheirbon managed to pick up a flush draw by the turn, it was not to be. He tossed his bag of beef jerky into the crowd at the rail, shook hands with everyone, and headed for his exit interview.
