Jeffrey Hakim raised in middle position and Chau reraised. Over to Terry Stewart who went all in and Hakim ducked out of the way, but Chau called, and his pocket eights were no good at all against Stewart's pocket nines, particularly once a third nine came on the flop.
Chau is out, and Stewart has a whopping 300,000 stack in front of him.
Jonathan McGowan opened for 5,400 and Weiler made it 10,400. Call, and on to the flop.
Flop:
McGowan checked, Weiler bet 20,000, McGowan raised to 40,000, and a flat call from Weiler led them to the turn.
Turn:
McGowan checked again, and this time merely called the 40,000 bet from Weiler.
Both players checked the
river, and Weiler flipped
. A muck later and McGowan was down to 58,000; meanwhile Weiler was up to 302,000, pipping Terry Stewart who has dipped to 280,000.
