Phil Hellmuth managed to take down a small pot when his pocket deuces somehow stayed ahead on a board. Either way, he's on a fairly comfortable 83,000, and is still sitting next to T.J. Cloutier.

We're not terribly sure how it happened, but blink-and-you'll-miss-it chip leader Terry Stewart is down to a still eminently respectable 161,000.

An enormous pot, propelling Zackary Weiler back up to the chip lead.
Jonathan McGowan opened for 5,400 and Weiler made it 10,400. Call, and on to the flop.
Flop:
McGowan checked, Weiler bet 20,000, McGowan raised to 40,000, and a flat call from Weiler led them to the turn.
Turn:
McGowan checked again, and this time merely called the 40,000 bet from Weiler.
Both players checked the river, and Weiler flipped . A muck later and McGowan was down to 58,000; meanwhile Weiler was up to 302,000, pipping Terry Stewart who has dipped to 280,000.

Holier Thanh Chau
One of yesterday's big stacks, Thanh Chau, is out, by the by creating a new chip leader.
Jeffrey Hakim raised in middle position and Chau reraised. Over to Terry Stewart who went all in and Hakim ducked out of the way, but Chau called, and his pocket eights were no good at all against Stewart's pocket nines, particularly once a third nine came on the flop.
Chau is out, and Stewart has a whopping 300,000 stack in front of him.

Insert pretzel here
Perry Friedman, thoughtfully munching on a bag of pretzels, pulled out one of the salty baked snacks and threaded it through his pierced ear. He now has a rather fetching pretzel earring. "Because that's how I roll," he clarified.

Maridon't
Short-stacked all bubble time, and indeed up and down all day, Maria "Maridu" Mayrinck has bitten the dust. She got it in slightly ahead with against Mark Tarich's and initially hit to boot, but the board brought Tarich a full house and Mayrinck busted out.
