Chiu Chiu Train Suffers Delay at Dorin Central

David Chiu raised preflop from the cutoff to 55,000 and Matt Dorin called in the big blind.

Dorin checked, Chiu bet 115,000 and Dorin check-raised for most of his stack. Chiu set him in and Dorin quickly called.

Chiu: {K-Hearts}

Dorin:

Dorin was ahead with top set and flush blockers, and Chiu needed one of six hearts that didn't pair the board or a king to eliminate Dorin.

The turn was the {7-Spades}

giving Chiu three additional tens as outs, but the river was the {5-Spades}

. Chiu is down to about 1.2 million. Dorin up to 1.6 million.

Pot-Limit Omaha:

David Chiu opened for 55,000, Huck Seed called on the button, and James Van Alstyne three-bet to 220,000 from the small blind. Chiu called and after a lengthy tank, Seed called as well.

The flop came down {10-Hearts}

. Van Alstyne instantly moved all in for 596,000, Chiu made the call, and Seed folded.

Chiu's top two pair led Van Alstyne's aces and he hit a straight when the turn came the {K-Clubs}

. The river was the {7-Spades}

and Chiu dragged easily the largest pot of the tournament, sending Van Alstyne to the rail in sixth place.

After the hand, Chiu was up to 2.5 million and now holds over one-third of the chips in play.

Todd Brunson had committed a fair amount of his stack with split tens but was in a lot of trouble against David Chiu's rolled up kings which housed up in the river.

Brunson leaves us in 8th place. Mike Matusow shouted to Chiu, "Any idiot can play rolled-up kings..."

Poor old Allie Prescott, he had the bring-in for the Razz with the high card twice in a row. The second time he went for it against Matt Dorin's completion.
