Ahmadi Tames Lynn

Matthew Lynn was at it again, this time raising to 51,000 before the flop from under the gun. It folded back around to Bahador Ahmadi who called from the big blind.

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, and both checked. The turn was the {7-Spades}. This time Ahmadi led out for 60,000, and Lynn folded.

Chip leader Ahmadi has about 1.785 million, while Lynn is now the short stack at the table with 360,000.

Keven Stammen raised to 61,000, and Gregg Merkow called behind him. The flop came {5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Stammen led for 101,000, Merkow raised, Stammen reraised all in, and Merkow called.

Merkow was searching for a seven to save him. But the {10-Spades} landed on the turn, giving Stammen a set and making the {9-Spades} on the river inconsequential. Merkow is out in 9th, and Stammen is our new chip leader with 2.02 million.

Keven Stammen opened with a raise to 61,000 on the button, and Bahador Ahmadi called from the small blind. Then Matthew Lynn reraised all in from the big blind for 286,000 more. Stammen folded, and Ahmadi thought about it for thirty seconds or so before making the call.

The flop came {K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, and Ahmadi took the lead. The turn was the {10-Hearts}, so Lynn needed an ace or ten to survive. But the river was the {8-Spades}, and Lynn was eliminated in 8th.

Ahmadi now has the chip lead with 2.2 million.

Steal Yourself

Keven Stammen raised to 61,000 from late position, then Bahador Ahmadi reraised to 162,000 from the cutoff. Angel Guillen then made it 400,000 total from the big blind.

Both Stammen and Ahmadi gave it up, and Guillen moves up to 1.65 million.

Angel Guillen opened with a raise to 60,000 from the button, and Oktay Altinbas instantly reraised from the small blind to 300,000. Guillen pushed all in, and Altinbas called with the last of his chips.

Altinbas tabled {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, and Guillen turned over {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}. The board came {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and Altinbas is out in 8th.

"It's been good... congratulations, everyone!" said the smiling Altinbas as he put on his jacket to leave.

Guillen now is in the lead with 2.32 million.
