Who's Here

The question really is . . . who isn't here?

Paul 'Eskimo' Clark, Mel Judah, Jeff Lisandro and Chip Jett round out the old brigade, while the new breed of Amnon Filippi, Steve Wong and WSOP final tablist Ylon Schwartz are also in the field.

Players Still Flocking In

With five other events also playing out today, it's no surprise to see more and more players heading over to join the 7 Card Stud Action.

Recently, Tom Schneider, Katja Thater, Nick Frangos and the always lovable Allen Kessler took their seat.

Interesting Table

Over near the blogging desk we find a few interesting tables.

Steve Wong, Anna Wroblewski and 'Miami' John Cernuto are all seated together while a table that will definitely provide some good chatter contains Shawn Sheikhan, Mike Caro and WSOP Circuit winner David Lee.

With so many international amateur and professional players venturing to Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker; it is no surprise to see many of them in the field today.

Germany's Michael Keiner, Italy's Dario Alioto, Norway's Thor Hansen and a few Australians in Mel Judah, Jeff Lisandro, Gary Benson and Marsha Wagonner have all ventured into town.

Will the bracelet head overseas or remain in the USA?

It's All Love Here

We caught the action when an opponent called a player's bet and mucked when he saw the winning hand.

Shawn Sheikhan quickly spoke up demanding to see the losing player's hand with the tournament supervisor being called over.

"We love each other here" stated Mike Caro as Sheikhan was denied. "This is the WSOP. You guys are taking it too seriously" muttered Caro as he went back to riffling chips as the new hand was dealt.

We found Archie Karas tangling with an opponent; his upcards showing {4-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} to his opponent's {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}.

Karas called a bet on fourth street before checking his {Q-Diamonds} on fifth street as his opponent checked behind when he was dealt the {A-Hearts}.

When Karas was dealt the {Q-Clubs} on sixth street, his 100-chip bet prompted a fold from his opponent when was dealt the {5-Hearts}.

"Well I guess you don't have aces" quipped Karas as he raked in the pot to move to 5,700.
