Maya Gellar Eliminated

Another beauty falls
Another beauty falls
Maya Gellar pushed the last of her remaining short-stack into the middle and found a caller out of the small blind.

Gellar: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Opponent: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

In a dominant shape to double up, the flop of {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts} would shock both the table and Gellar as it sent the ladies into bouts of screaming.

Those screams would then be let out again when the {Q-Spades} landed on the turn to see Gellar make a full house and be left with just one-out to stay alive.

Paint would fall on the river, but it wouldn't be to the comfort of Gellar as it was the {K-Hearts} that dropped to see her head to the rail.

Boeree Bounces Back

Boeree battling it out
Boeree battling it out
After running a failed bluff and losing some key pots, Liv Boeree has managed to find a double up.

With the last of Boeree's chips going into the middle on a board of {7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} it would be her {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} in front of her opponent's {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

The turn and river fell the {Q-Diamonds} and {6-Diamonds} to see Boeree reclaim some of her stack to now sit on 2,800 in chips.

Gromenkova Doubles

Catching the action on the turn with the board reading {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{K-Hearts}, Svetlana Gromenkova checked-raised all in for her last 3,075 with her opponent making the call.

Gromenkova: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Having to only fade a nine to stay alive, she would see the {8-Hearts} fall on the river as she raked in the pot to climb to 10,800.

Ho Lotta Chips

Maria Ho was one of the first to move past the 10k mark in chips; here's a look at the hand that catapulted her to the top:

An opponent sitting in the ten seat opened with a raise to 300. Ho, sitting with aces, opted to slow play her hand and therefore just called.

Ho then check-called bets of 525 and 1,500 on the flop and turn as the board filled out: {A-?}{6-?}{3-?}{A-?} giving Maria quads.

The river brought another six and Ho open-shoved all in for 3,000. Her opponent made the call, but quickly mucked at the site of Maria's quad aces. After the hand, the Bluff/WSOP hostess stacked up 10,500 in chips.

Lindley Doubles

Christina Lindley pushed the last of her 1,700-chips into the middle and found some action from the small blind.

Lindley: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

With Lindley at risk she would make Broadway when the board ran out {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Spades} to see her double through to over 4,000 in chips.

Eolis in Trouble

Joanice Batista from Balneario, Brazil just doubled through Wendeen Eolis in a hand that left Wendeen with just 950 in chips:

With the board showing {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{K-Clubs}, Batista led out with an 850 bet and Eolis made the call. Bastista then moved all in for 1,000 when the {6-Clubs} fell on the river and Eolis looked her up. Batista tabled a pocket pair of tens, good for a straight, and Eolis mucked.

Batista piled up 4,700 in chips after the hand.

Castello Catches a Break

PokerNews presenter Melissa Castello has come back from the dead, shooting from 1,000 in chips to just under 5,000 after picking up a pocket pair of aces on the button.

With one limper in, Castello made it 500 to go and her opponent called.

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{Q-Hearts} -- pure gold for Castello -- and she was able to disguise her hand by just calling her opponent's 600 bet.

The turn then brought the {7-Spades} and the late-position limper check-called Castello's 1,250 all-in bet, sending us to an irrelevant showdown:

Castello: {A-Hearts} {A-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Clubs} {3-Clubs}

For those who simply must know the river... it was the {9-Diamonds}.
