Campbell Quartered

Robert Campbell raised from the button and Steve Zolotow called from the BB before the flop came {7-Spades} {3-Spades} {2-Hearts}. Zolotow bet, Campbell raised, Zolotow three bet and Campbell called. The {6-Diamonds} turn saw Zolotow bet, Campbell raise and Zolotow call all in.

Cards on their backs:{A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} for Campbell and {A-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {9-Spades} {4-Hearts} for Zolotow.

The river was a nice {9-Hearts} for Zolotow to give him 3/4 and put him on 70,000.

What the Hellmuth?

Scott Clements opened with a raise, and only Phil Hellmuth joined him to the flop. It came down {K-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {2-Hearts}. Clements checked, then called a bet from Hellmuth. Fourth street was the {J-Diamonds}, and the action repeated with Clements check-calling a big bet. The river was the {K-Diamonds}, and both men checked.

Hellmuth tabled {A-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {10-Spades} for a clean miss. Clements proudly showed down {5-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs}, scooping it up with his kings and fives.

Matusow Moves On

Mike Matusow - Out
Mike Matusow - Out
Daniel Negreanu opened the pot with a raise from early position. The bet folded back around to the blinds where both Mike Matusow and Ben Boyd made the call.

The flop came down {8-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {5-Diamonds}. Matusow fired out with a bet, Boyd called, and Negreanu folded. As the dealer spread fourth street, Matusow bet in the dark, putting himself all in. Boyd called dark, and the turn fell the {2-Diamonds}.

Showdown
Matusow: {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {9-Clubs}
Boyd: {A-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {7-Diamonds}

Boyd had turned the wheel, and Matusow was in deep trouble. The river {K-Spades} was all she wrote, and The Mouth is no more.

Clements Leaking

Sam Khouiss raised from EP and only Scott Clements called from the BB before the flop came {K-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}. It was checked to the {5-Hearts} turn where Clements check called Khouiss' bet as he did on the {7-Spades} river.

Khouiss tabled {8-Spades} {9-Clubs} {A-Spades} {2-Clubs} for the nut high and the low.

Khouiss -- 360,000
Clements -- 240,000

Dag-gum It

Under the gun, Greg Jamison limped into the pot. Action passed around to the button where John D'Agostino raised it up. Phil Ivey called from the big blind, and Jamison came along to the flop as well.

It brought {10-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {4-Diamonds}. After a series of bets, D'Agostino ended up all in. Ivey folded out, but Jamison looked the pro up, putting his tournament life in jeopardy.

Showdown
D'Agostino: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {3-Spades}
Jamison: {A-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}

"I'll take a deuce," said D'Agostino, as he stood up to await his fate. The turn was the {K-Spades} though, and the {4-Clubs} on the river locked up the full pot for Jamison. He has eliminated John D'Agostino from the field, chipping up to 180,000 in the process.

Madsen Outplayed by Tag Team Tactics

Negreanu'd
Negreanu'd
A big three way pot just occurred between Daniel Negreanu, Jeff Madsen and Michel Abecassis. The flop showed us {2-Hearts} {8-Spades} {7-Clubs}. Abecassis bet before Madsen raised. Call, call. The turn came {4-Clubs} before Abecassis led again, Madsen reraised and Negreanu raised again. Call, call. The river {Q-Spades} saw it checked to Negreanu who bet before Abecassis called and Madsen called all in.

Abecassis took the half the low with {A-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {A-Spades} {10-Hearts}. Madsen tabled {A-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {2-Spades} {2-Diamonds} but was unlucky to lose the high to Negreanu's {A-Hearts} {3-Spades} {4-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} who also chopped the low.

Abecassis on 110,000, Negreanu on 98,000 and Madsen's exits stage left.

Hoarding Chips

The Amazon Room may be tilted ever so slightly toward Table 76, as a disproportionate number of chips are piled in front of the players there. That table contains each of the top three stacks (Sam Khouiss, Scott Clements, and John Monnette), as well as two more of the top ten (Ville Wahlbeck and Jean-Robert Bellande). John Hennigan is sitting at that table as well, hoping to put his hands on some of those plentiful chips.

Also joining that table in the last few minutes is Phil Hellmuth.
