He's a Saul Man

Four players were in to see a {Q-Hearts} {5-Spades} {10-Spades} flop. It's checked to a player in the cut off who bet 1,200 and only Kevin Saul calls before the turn came {2-Spades}. Saul check-calls a 1,200 bet this time before check raising the player all in on the {10-Hearts} river.

Saul's {10-Clubs} {8-Clubs} no good against his opponent's flush with {A-Spades} {9-Spades}. He's still on 21,000 though.

No Badbeat For Channing

Neil "Badbeat" Channing
Neil "Badbeat" Channing
Neil Channing has just doubled up to around 29,000. Pretty straightforward this one. It all went in preflop with Channing holding pocket aces to his opponent's ace-king. You already know the rockets hold to leave Channing feeling a lot more comfortable.

Double Down

Jan Von Halle did the nice thing and doubled an opponent up. The flop was {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {K-Spades} and Von Halle bet 8,000 to set his opponent in. His opponent tanked for a long time before making the call with {A-Hearts} {A-Spades}. Von Halle was behind with his {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} but had outs as we went to the {6-Clubs} turn and {6-Hearts} river.

None of them came but Von Halle is still on 16,500.

C.C.C. Corwin Cole Caught

Corwin Cole raised it up from the button and Richard Hawes called from the BB before the flop came {Q-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}. Both players checked it through to the {4-Clubs} turn where Hawes check-called a 1,725 bet from Cole. The river {3-Spades} saw Cole fire 7,225 when Hawes checked to him. Hawes took his time and looked reluctant as he called with {Q-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}.

It's good for the pot as Corwin mucks. He's down to 8,500 now whereas Hawes up to 50,000.

Almost Feld-man

Peter Feldman was UTG and pushed his entire 15,000 stack over the line. A player in late position looked him up with {8-Diamonds} {8-Spades} and saw it was a race as Feldman opened {K-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}.

The board ran {J-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {10-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. Runner runner broadway good for a Feldman double up.

Huge Pot

I approached the table with cards already on their backs with a three-way all in. Daniel Makowsky tabled {A-Hearts} {A-Spades} with his two opponents amazingly holding {K-?} {K-?} and {Q-?} {Q-?} respectively.

The board ran {6-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {2-Spades}. The aces hold and Makowsky up to 74,000 leaving one opponent out and the other crippled.
