Hawrilenko Hawri-Losing Chips

And now Hawrilenko's even shorter.

After reraising from the big blind to a raise from Greg Mueller in the small blind, he bet every street of the {5-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {10-Hearts} board. Mueller called the flop and turn, but raised on the river. Hawrilenko called, but mucked in disgust when Mueller turned over {5-Spades} {10-Spades} for two pair. "I didn't think that was a bad card for me," he lamented.

Down to just 170,000.

Something Happened: Brown Wins a Hand

Here's a little movement in the stacks for you though.

Matt Hawrilenko raised his cutoff and big blind Chad Brown called.

They saw a {7-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} flop -- Brown bet out and Hawrilenko called.

They saw an {8-Hearts} turn -- Brown bet out and Hawrilenko called.

They saw a {3-Hearts} river -- Brown bet out and Hawrilenko... folded.

Hawrilenko's down to 550,000 while Brown is up to 1.35 million.

Really, Not Much Happening At All

For example, the first hand that actually made it to showdown went like this:

Matt Hawrilenko raised from the button and Daniel Alaei called in the big blind.

They then checked the {9-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {J-Spades} {J-Clubs} board all the way down, until Hawrilenko showed {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} and Alaei mucked.

Not Much Happening Here

If anything, the earlier-than-scheduled dinner break has made our final six tighten up. Every hand played since we came back has been small, and there's been little change in the stacks. Looks like it's going to be a long night.

Dinner Time Chip Counts

Seat 2 Matt Hawrilenko 725,000
Seat 4 Pat Pezzin 1,300,000
Seat 5 Daniel Alaei 1,200,000
Seat 6 Chad Brown 1,050,000
Seat 8 Matt Glantz 310,000
Seat 9 Greg Mueller 1,000,000

Dinner Time Soon

The TV folks need to take a break in a few minutes for something or other, so the players have decided to take their 60 minute dinner break then to minimize disruption.

Michiel Brummelhuis Eliminated in 7th Place ($67,647)

Michiel - Brummeled
Michiel - Brummeled
Michiel Brummelhuis raised his button and Daniel Alaei called him in the big blind.

Alaei check-raised the {A-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} flop and Brummelhuis accordingly raise-called to see the {K-Hearts} turn. Alaei bet out this time and Brummelhuis called, and they moved on to the {3-Spades} river, which both players checked.

Alaei turned over {J-Spades} {9-Hearts}, and a dejected Brummelhuis mucked, flashing the {9-Spades}.

Down to 115,000 after that, Brummelhuis moved all in to an under the gun raise from Matt Glantz and got called by Pat Pezzin on the button and Chad Brown on the big blind, as well as Glantz.

Brown ducked out to a bet on the flop from Glantz, and thereafter Glantz and Pezzin checked it down.

Glantz: {7-Clubs} {7-Hearts}
Pezzin: {9-Spades} {9-Hearts}
Brummelhuis: {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

Board: {8-Spades} {4-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}

Thus we lose our colourful Dutchman in 7th, and we continue six-handed.

A Leg Up for Alaei

Alaei alive-oh
Alaei alive-oh
A bit of a recovery for Daniel Alaei. Like frankly almost all the players left in right now, he had at one point been chip leader but had since slipped to around 600,000. Now he's back up to 900,000 after raising preflop and then calling a reraise from Chad Brown on the button.

Alaei check-called all the way to the river of the {4-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {9-Spades} {8-Hearts} {J-Hearts} until Brown checked behind on the river. Alaei turned over {7-Clubs} {7-Spades} and it was good -- Brown shook his head and mucked.
