Phil Felted (Finally)

Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth
The big blind finally crept back around to Phil Hellmuth's seat, and he was all in. A player in middle position raised to 5,000. "Not him!" said Hellmuth. The rest folded, and his opponent turned over {A-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

To increase the drama, Hellmuth turned over his cards one at a time. First, the {4-Hearts}. "At least it's a four," said Hellmuth, noting the live card. Then, the {7-Spades}. "Yes! The four-seven!" The table laughed.

The board came {3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{A-Diamonds}, and Hellmuth is out in 113th place, for which he earns $3,231.

That'll cover that $2,000 the Poker Brat now owes Roland de Wolfe (for losing their last-longer bet).
