Haag Rides the Elevator

Marc Whitford opened with a raise, and Michael Haag moved all in for just about 30,000. Whitford called, turning up {A-Spades} {Q-Spades}. Haag was racing for his tournament life with {10-Clubs} {10-Spades}. The board ran safe for him, coming {3-Spades} {9-Spades} {K-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {4-Hearts}, and he doubled up to 62,000.

On the next hand though, he would take those newly attained chips and give them away to someone else. On a flop of {J-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {5-Hearts}, Mikael Olsson bet out, and Haag again moved all in. Olsson instantly called for his own tournament life and showed {J-Clubs} {J-Spades} for top set. Haag was trying to run down his straight draw with {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs}. The turn and river blanked off though ({8-Hearts} and {4-Hearts}), and Haag has slipped all the way back down to 7,000.
