ElkY Bitten by De Wolfe

Roland de Wolfe
Roland de Wolfe
Roland de Wolfe limped in from under the gun, as did two players behind him. The small blind completed, and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier checked from the big blind.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{J-Spades}{K-Spades}. Grospellier bet 11,000, de Wolfe called, and the others got out of the way. The turn was the {2-Hearts}, and both players checked.

The river brought the {3-Spades}. ElkY bet 18,500, and de Wolfe didn't waste much time sliding out a tall stack of orange chips, a few yellows, and a couple of blues -- a raise to 81,000.

Grospellier sat back, eyebrows raised, and contemplated de Wolfe's bet. After about thirty seconds, he made the call. De Wolfe turned over {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} for the nut flush, and Grospellier mucked.

Now De Wolfe has about 360,000, and Grospellier slips to 240,000.
