It's a Numbers Game

As we settle down after the dinner break we have 1,017 players left out of the 3,012 that started. That means we have lost around 5.5 players every single minute.

As hard as we try we couldn't quite report all of them!

Scores on the Board

JC Tran -- 19,000
David 'The Maven' Chicotsky -- 7,000
Lee Watkinson -- 14,000
Chad Brown -- 8,000
Mickey Appleman -- 8,000
Leif Force -- 3,000
Vinnie Vinh -- 19,000

Kathy Liebert, David Chiu and TJ Cloutier all look to be out of the tournament.

Diamonds Prove a Girl's Best Friend

A midposition raise to 900 was flat-called by British pro Paul Parker before the lady behind him moved all-in for an additional 3,000 more. The original raiser folded and after a minute or so, Parker made the call with {10-Spades} {10-Hearts} and was up against {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}, which got there by the river of a {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} board.

Scott a Little More

Andrew Scott reraised all-in for an additional 1,250 with {K-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} against an early position raise to 650. He was called by {9-Diamonds} {9-Spades} and the board came out {Q-Spades} {4-Hearts} {5-Spades} {10-Spades} {3-Clubs} giving Scott the double to just over 4,000.

Nearly Shaked the Sheik

Shawn Sheikhan raised to 700 from early position and was called by Andrew Teng and the big blind. The flop came down {J-Spades} {8-Spades} {10-Clubs} and it was checked to Teng who bet 1,200. The BB folded but Sheikhan made the call.

The turn {9-Diamonds} saw both players checked through to the {6-Clubs} river. Sheikhan lead out this time for 2,300 and after a long think Teng raised it up to 5,400. "Really?" asked Sheikhan "You really have king-queen?"

He made the call though and it was a split pot with Sheikhan tabling {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} to Teng's {Q-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}.
