Gomez Out In 27th

Raul Gomez has been knocked out just after we restarted. He pushed {A-?} {J-?} against Panayote Vilandos's raise but found himself called by the latter's {A-?} {K-?} and after the flop of {A-?} {K-?} {9-?}, Gomez couldn't find running Jacks or Queen/Ten to extricate himself from trouble.

Not All White on the Night

Adam White had just doubled-up his very short stack before he found a hand, and a customer, to get it all in again. He was a big favorite with {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} to Nathan Mullen's {K-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}. The underdog got there though on a {9-Spades} {K-Spades} {6-Spades} {5-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} board.

White claims $ 33,491 for his 24th place finish.

Eduardo Santi raised and then called the all-in raise of Eric Chhor with {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}. Unfortunately for him, he'd run into Chhor's {A-Clubs} {A-Spades}. The board came {6-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {5-Spades} {5-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} to cement the exit.

Santi get's $33,491 for finishing 23rd.

On the Up and Up Today

Why not smile
Why not smile
Dan Heimiller is up to 2,200,000 now after busting Jorge Barriga. It all went in pre flop as most of the hands are right now. Heimiller held {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} to Barriga's {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades}. All the way to the river we went {4-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {J-Spades} {8-Spades} {3-Diamonds}.

No stopping this man at the moment. Barriga 22nd place finish get's him $ 33,491.

Injured then Killed Off

Jonathan Aguiar has become our 21st place finisher. He was crippled when he doubled up a player up who held {K-?} {10-?} to his {A-?} {3-?} and got there on a {Q-?} {J-?} {10-?} {7-?} {6-?} board.

Then he pushed with {J-?} {5-?}, but wasn't able to catch up after an opponent called with {7-?} {7-?}. He gets $33,491 for his troubles.

Chip Leader Falls

Robert Comegys
Robert Comegys
Chip leader at the start of the day, Robert Comegys has been knocked out. He had doubled up Jeff Oakes with {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts} vs {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} on a {10-?} {9-?} {5-?} board earlier and Oakes was to prove his assassin as well.

Comegys pushed with {J-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} and Oakes made the call with {A-Hearts} {10-Hearts}, the first three cards coming out were {A-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {A-Spades} to leave the former drawing virtually dead. No help on the turn and river and we are now redrawing to two tables.

Play Slows

After a few quick eliminations play has slowed somewhat. That's not surprising, as the average stack has risen to around 40 big blinds which is fairly deep for this stage of a tournament.
